The founder of EuroPro, Sven started as a diesel mechanic in Slovakia in 1984. Sven immigrated to the Seattle area in 1989 and was soon a VW technician at Carter VW of Seattle. Throughout the next 10 years, he continued his career at 3 other dealerships, improving his skills in VW, Audi and BMW repair.
Sven and his family relocated to Spokane in 1999, where Sven spent the next 12 years as a VW Technician and the shop foreman at a local VW/Audi dealer. Afterwards, in 2011, he opened EuroPro and, in the beginning, was the sole technician. Today, he oversees the shop with 4 technicians and works at the front desk as a service adviser and customer service. Consequently, Sven’s knowledge, experience, and training now spans 32 years of dedicated European automobile service and repair making him an expert in the field.
In his free time, he enjoys time with his wife, family and friends. Additionally, he works on custom car projects, hikes, and trains his German Shepherd, Thor.
Sven and Heidi met in 1991 and were married in 1993. For the next 17 years Heidi was a homemaker and raised their 3 children. When EuroPro opened, Heidi helped with bookkeeping, and answered phones until more staff was added in 2012. As a result of that experience, Heidi is still the bookkeeper and administrator for EuroPro.
She loves to spend time with their children who are all now grown, and their 4 grandchildren. In addition, Heidi also has 3 small dogs at home Jetta, Mia, and Milo that she adores. In her spare time, Heidi loves home decorating and spending time with Sven, their family, and close friends.
Brandon’s passion for European cars started early as he worked alongside Sven on projects growing up. He started his journey at EuroPro in 2014 in the parts department but couldn’t stop dreaming of being in the shop! As a result, In 2015 he started working in the shop as a lube technician. Brandon has worked side by side with Sven and Jesse for 2 years, learning everything he can, and continues to excel.
In addition, Brandon has attended training classes through Bosch, ATE and ASA. Brandon moved to the front as a service adviser in 2017. Also, he enjoys communicating and helping customers and understanding all aspects of the business. Furthermore, Brandon builds project cars outside of work, demonstrating his true passion for Euro’s, something he and Sven share! In his spare time Brandon loves to camp, snowboard, hike, travel and being with family and friends.
Jesse Owen had a construction background and a side hobby of restoring Volkswagens. When he found himself wanting to leave his travelling construction job, he turned to the auto repair industry. Consequently, he started at EuroPro just 6 months after our grand opening in 2011. Sven taught him the basics and through experience, training and a great drive to learn – Jesse excelled in mechanics and was promoted to shop foreman in 2014 because of his hard work.
Jesse is a skilled technician with a true passion for what he does. He is Bosch certified and completed training with ATE and ASA. Even more, Jesse enjoys spending time with his wife and children, and still loves to restore European cars.
Aaron began his career in the automotive parts industry in the spring of 2004 as a delivery driver for a local retail parts business. Within a year of hire he took on extra responsibilities and began answering the phone on the parts counter as business picked up for the summer rush. Because of his hard work, Aaron maintained this position for nine years. In July of 2013 he joined EuroPro, where he manages the parts department for the repair shop and retail counter sales.
Additionally, he also completes all written estimates in regards to recommended repairs for our customers. Aaron coordinates parts ordering from two major vendors, as well as multiple dealerships and several supply vendors. He loves what he does and enjoys being a part of the EuroPro family. Additionally, he obtained an AAS degree as a computer network engineer in 2003. Fortunately for us, these skills have been put to use at EuroPro developing our computer network.
In his spare time, Aaron enjoys devoting time with his wife and their cats, and has been known to spend much of his spare time mastering computer games.
Ryan joined EuroPro in 2014 after working 12 years at a local wrecking yard. Ryan’s passion for cars started at age 11 after rebuilding a VW Rabbit engine, leading him to start working at a local gun club at the age of 12 to save up money to buy his first car.
At the age of 17, he had bought and sold his first 2 cars and today he still owns a 1987 VW GTI he bought at age 17. From 1999-2002 Ryan was a new car auto detailer for a local dealership. Additionally, throughout 2002- 2014 he worked his way through the wrecking industry from dismantling to sales. As a result, Ryan has worked in both the Parts Department and now as a Service Adviser at EuroPro. Ryan truly cares about each and every customer and has an uncanny ability to remember names! He still enjoys fixing up European cars and spending time with his young family.
Ryan and Christina are the proud parents of a son and daughter.
Kody is an SCC Automotive Technician graduate and was one of EuroPro’s customers prior to working with us! Sven saw the potential and passion Kody had for VW and other European makes and hired him part time in 2012 before he even finished school.
Immediately upon graduating, Kody became a full time technician at EuroPro in 2013. As a result of his hard work, he continues to grow as a skilled European technician. Kody is ASE and Bosch certified, and has attended ATE and ASA classes as well. In his time away from work he spends time with his wife, family friends, and two Labradors in addition to camping and sports.
Amanda came to EuroPro Automotive in 2019 after being a parts delivery driver for two years. Her passion for cars, specifically European cars, grew with summer family camping trips in the Volkswagen 1979 Westy. Amanda is responsible for answering parts phone calls, ordering and fulfilling orders for customers, and shop jobs.
Every day she is continuously learning the parts business and striving to give customers the best, most reliable parts there are to offer. Outside of work, Amanda dedicates all her time to her daughter, going on hikes with their dog, and camping. Amanda enjoys traveling, music, and spending time with loved ones.
